embarrassing..
Saturday, June 20th, 2009i have a WD 250gig external HDD.
its file table was corrupted.
into several computers with XP it did go.
no luck.
recovery software that has saved me before recovered part of the contents.
then i was on a computer with vista installed (shut up – its not mine).
i plugged the drive in.
vista didnt slow down to almost a stand still like XP did.
it told me it needed repair – did i want to fix it.
‘wtf’ i thunketh to myself. well i didn’t. what i actually thought was ‘what the fuck’ but one tries to remain relevant.
five minutes later my drive was working with all files available.
freaked me right out.
just don’t tell anyone about it.
